Ultimate Application Administrator Boot Camp for Project Online

This Administrator training course will focus on application administration for Project Online and Project Server.

The class will show Application Administrators how to maintain the system using Project Web App and be prepared for troubleshooting.

The class is geared towards business users that are familiar with the Project Online/Server environment and plan to maintain the system on an on-going basis.

The student will receive a complementary copy of The Ultimate Application Administrators Guide for Project Online and Proactive PPM with Microsoft Project 2016 for Project Online and Project Server.

Project Manager

This course focuses on scheduling best practices and enabling project managers to build solid schedules that will reflect the true status of the project and accurately forecast through completion. This course is closely aligned with:

  • The Practice Standard for Scheduling – 2nd Edition, by PMI®

The overall goal is to teach project managers a practical approach to ‘how’ they should be using the tools in the context of industry best practices.

Team Member

This highly customizable course will train team members on the proper use of Project Web App and the SharePoint Project Site. While the Modules and Outline below will be adapted for the client, all aspects of the course are closely aligned with:

Report Author

This Report Author training workshop will focus on Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting for the Microsoft PPM platform. The class will show report authors how to extract data from the system using familiar tools and publish interactive reports that deliver business value to the enterprise.

The class is geared towards business users and IT pros that are familiar with the Project Online or Project Server environment and plan to author and maintain report libraries on an on-going basis.

Agile PPM Solution User Training

The Sensei Agile PPM solution provides a project management framework that will support your project team as they plan and execute on the agile rituals which are critical for ensuring that your projects are effectively managed.  Applying this template ensures that a repeatable management process is applied, thereby ensuring consistency with Agile development methods, while at the same time expanding on the traditional use of the Microsoft Project tool to maintain the all-important User Story and a flexible iterative development approach. This template provides both an Agile Management Framework and a Sprint Framework for managing the User Stories for delivery in Releases and Sprints. The template provides a complete suite of Agile reports to provide the necessary “information radiators” for managing both the project and the individual sprints with resource management and burn-down chart graphical reports.

Detailed Agile and PPM Solution Training

This course provides a comprehensive review of the Agile/Scrum development approaches and the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement these approaches into an organization using Microsoft PPM. This course provides an overview of Agile/Scrum, including the roles, activities and project management tools. We break down the specific duties of each Scrum Role: Scrum Master, Product Owner and Scrum Team, as well as the Scrum rituals that form the core of Scrum. The course also explores the similarities and differences between Scrum and traditional development.

Systems Administrator

This Administrator training course will focus on the administration of the servers and related systems to support Project Server on premises. This class is geared towards technical administrator staff that are maintaining servers for other applications and need to learn how to manage the servers for a Project Server environment.
